Looking for a famous person who shares your September birthday? Start with a date you can check. These three September birthdays are documented by the person's official website or the Nobel Prize organization. This is a selected list, not a ranking of the most important people born in the month.

Three September birthdays to check

  • September 6, 1860: Jane Addams. The social reformer received the Nobel Peace Prize in 1931. See her Nobel biography for her birth date and work.
  • September 15, 1890: Agatha Christie. The novelist's official biography records her birthday and early life in Torquay. Read the Agatha Christie biography.
  • September 21, 1947: Stephen King. His official website lists his birthday in its frequently asked questions. Its author biography provides background on his writing.

Make a five-minute birthday quiz

Write each name on a separate card and put the three dates on another sheet in a different order. Ask guests to match each person to a date. Award one point for each correct match. Keep the linked biographies ready so you can show where the answers came from.

For a second round, ask guests to name a book by Christie or King, or describe one area of Addams's work. Accept answers supported by the official biographies. Avoid a speed round if some guests have not read these authors; a team round lets them contribute by checking dates or reading the source.

Turn a shared birthday into a personal gift

For a reader born on September 15 or 21, choose a book they have asked for and write a note explaining the birthday connection. Ask about their reading tastes first. A shared date does not mean someone likes mystery or horror, and an unfamiliar book is not automatically a thoughtful present.

A group celebrating September 6 could choose a small community activity the birthday person already cares about. Treat this as an optional celebration idea, not a claim that people born on that date have a particular personality. Set a time limit and budget together before inviting anyone.

Same month is different from the same birthday

A birthday match usually means the same month and day; it does not require the same birth year. Someone born on September 2 shares a birth month with the people above but not their birthday. Label a card accurately: “We share a September birthday month” works when the dates differ.

For your own date, use the Birthday Countdown to see the time until your next birthday. The Age Calculator gives a date-based age breakdown. Neither tool needs a celebrity comparison to make your celebration meaningful.
